Jon posted on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 I first learned to play rook when I was 14. Now 19 years I still love the game, in any of it's forms. Being from Kentucky my wife and I played rook frequently, as it is wildly popular there. We moved to Tennessee and we have found out that not many people have played rook, so we are teaching and having fun doing it. I can't wait for your site to be ready, I will be playing! Thank you! Kali posted on Monday, August 29, 2005 Rook is about the best card game ever I just learned how to play this summer at a camp I worked at for 5 weeks. Every day at 11 we played a 200 hand game of rook I loved to play and now every time me and my co workers get together we play rook. The best game of rook that I have ever played was when I had the 1 14 13 12 11 9 8 and rook in black and my partner had the rest of the trump in his hand it was the best game ever. A straight 200 hand!!! Judith posted on Wednesday, September 07, 2005 I started playing Rook when I was 8 years old! I had been watching my parents play with their friends for about 4 years ( I always loved cards and numbers) and they finally let me sit in for one of them one night and were amazed. I have been playing ever since. I have played many variations at home and I have played online and in live tournaments. I have numerous trophies and certificates. I guess it is the strategy that draws me, you have to know what you are doing as well as getting the cards. posted on Sunday, September 18, 2005 I played like mad going through college. We used to play every night. I pulled a bunch of all-nighters.. not to study, but to play rook. We even had a huge tournament once a year. I still have my trophy!
